Zoé Boirin-Fargues is a doctoral student at the University of Ottawa, in co-tutoring with the University of Paris Sorbonne. Holder of a Master 2 in Human Rights and a Master 2 in Energy Law, she has completed internships with indigenous organizations in Russia and India, as well as in the Human Rights Department of the French oil company Total and the Energy Department of Orrick Rambeau Martel in Paris. Her experiences led her to the formulation of her current research project, co-directed by Professor Sophie Thériault and Professor Mathias Audit, on the definition by mining company managers of their company's obligations towards indigenous peoples.
